Justice without the long wait
Courts carry crores of pending cases. Alternative Dispute Resolution gives you a faster, private and far less expensive way to a fair outcome — guided by trained neutrals and backed by law.
What is Arbitration?
Arbitration is a form of alternative dispute resolution in which the parties agree to place their dispute before one or more neutral arbitrators instead of a court. The arbitrator hears both sides, weighs the evidence and gives a binding decision — the award.
It is ideal for commercial contracts, partnership and construction disputes, and any agreement that already contains an arbitration clause.
How it works
Arbitration agreement
Both parties consent in writing — through a clause in the contract or a separate agreement.
Appointing the arbitrator
A neutral arbitrator (or a panel of three) is chosen from our empanelled experts.
Hearings & evidence
Pleadings are filed and hearings held — in person or by video — on a fixed timetable.
The award
A reasoned, binding award is passed, enforceable just like a decree of a civil court.
Benefits
- Faster than regular litigation
- Private and confidential
- Expert arbitrators for technical matters

What is Mediation?
Mediation is a voluntary and confidential process in which a trained mediator helps the parties talk, understand each other's interests and reach their own settlement. The mediator does not decide the dispute — the parties stay in control throughout.
It works especially well for family, neighbourhood, workplace and business relationships that the parties want to preserve.
How it works
Request & consent
One party approaches us; we invite the other side and explain the process to both.
Joint session
Both parties meet with the mediator to share their view of the dispute and set ground rules.
Private caucus
The mediator meets each side separately to explore options in confidence.
Settlement agreement
Agreed terms are written down and signed — and can be made legally enforceable.
Benefits
- You decide the outcome
- Preserves relationships
- Low cost, often a single day

What is Lok Adalat?
Lok Adalat — literally "people's court" — is a forum where pending or pre-litigation disputes are settled amicably by a bench of judicial officers, advocates and social workers. There is no court fee, and if a fee was paid it is refunded on settlement.
Its award is final and binding, with no appeal — making it one of the quickest ways to close a matter for good.
How it works
Case referral
We help you refer a pending case or a pre-litigation claim to the next Lok Adalat sitting.
Pre-sitting scrutiny
Documents are checked and both sides are informed of the date and process.
Before the bench
The bench helps the parties arrive at a fair compromise in a single, informal sitting.
Final award
The settlement becomes an award — final, binding and deemed a decree of a civil court.
Benefits
- No court fee
- Settled in a single sitting
- Final — no appeals

What is Conciliation?
Conciliation is a structured process in which a conciliator meets the parties, understands their positions and actively proposes terms of settlement. Unlike a mediator, the conciliator can suggest solutions — but nothing binds the parties until they sign.
A signed settlement agreement has the same status and effect as an arbitral award on agreed terms.
How it works
Invitation to conciliate
One party invites the other; conciliation begins once the invitation is accepted.
Statements of position
Each side submits a brief statement of the dispute and the points at issue.
Conciliator's proposals
The conciliator meets both sides and formulates possible terms of settlement.
Settlement agreement
Agreed terms are drawn up, signed and authenticated by the conciliator.
Benefits
- An expert suggests fair terms
- Enforceable settlement
- Flexible and informal

What is Negotiation?
Negotiation is the most direct form of dispute resolution: the parties — usually through their advocates — talk to each other to reach an agreement, without any third party deciding the outcome.
With the right preparation and a clear legal position, a well-run negotiation often resolves matters before a notice ever needs to be sent.
How it works
Case assessment
We review your documents and tell you honestly where you stand in law.
Strategy & mandate
Together we fix your goals, your limits and the terms you are willing to offer.
Structured talks
Your advocate engages the other side in writing, by call or in a meeting.
Written settlement
Any agreement is recorded in a clear, enforceable settlement deed.
Benefits
- Quickest route to agreement
- Full control over terms
- Lowest cost of all routes
